Judge Richard Parker – Man of the Law
Judge Richard Parker (1810-1893) was a judge of the General Court and later of Circuit Court which encompassed Winchester, Frederick County and Jefferson County. It was in this capacity that he gained national notice as the judge who presided at the trial of John Brown at Charles Town in 1859.
